Alocasias are known for bold, sculptural leaves, and every one of these was grown from a corm right here in Shoreline. Choose a rooted corm if you love watching a plant wake up and push its first leaf, or a starter plant if you want a head start.

Choose your size

• Rooted corm: Already rooted, ready to pot up. Perfect for plant people who love the process.
• Starter plant: Rooted and leafing out, ready to grow on.

Care basics

• Light: Bright indirect light
• Water: Keep lightly moist, never soggy. Let the top inch dry between waterings.
• Humidity: Loves it. A tray of pebbles and water or a humidifier helps.
• Good to know: Alocasias sometimes drop a leaf or go dormant in winter. That's normal. Keep the corm barely moist and it will come back.

Pet note: Not safe to eat. Keep away from pets and little ones who like to nibble.
